In 1992, Angie Thomson left her Silicon Valley job to help the destitue children of Romania. You may have seen her story on MSNBC-Weekend Magazine with Stone Phillips. She was able to convince the Bucharest city government to give her a house for the children in 1994. She now has two homes, one for girls and one for boys.

But there is only room for a few, and there are so many left behind to live, literally, in the sewers and in the streets. Angie has planned a new "Village of Hope" and work has already begun. (Picture below)
